Compressor & Engine Engineering (Pty) Ltd (CEE) is one of the largest compressed air specialist companies in South Africa. CEE was founded in 1989 with our head office located in Boksburg East Gauteng. We pride ourselves on offering bespoke tailor-made air solutions to large and medium-sized organisations in South Africa in the private and government sectors.

Meet the Team

Chief Executive Officer

Kim Ishwarlall

Kim holds a Diploma from the University of Johannesburg majoring in Business Management and a Marketing Diploma from the Institute of Marketing. He has more than 10 years’ experience in strategic management and planning. He was a manager at Barloworld (Barloworld Equipment and PPC Cement) before he moved to Atlas Copco as a Senior Business Development and Strategy Manager for Africa. He completed his Management Development Programme (MDP) at the International AC Academy in Belgium. He is a Director at Atmei Petrochemical and Mammoth.

Managing Director

Gavin Acar

Gavin Acar was appointed MD of Compressor and Engine Engineering (Pty) Ltd in October 1999. Gavin joined CEE as a Fitter and Turner in June 1991 and became Factory Manager in 1995. Under his tenure as MD of CEE, the company has diversified its focus beyond its engineering roots and has become one of South Africa’s leading supplier to the locomotive and compressed air industries. Gavin has an N6 in Mechanical Engineering and was profiled as a Business Leader in Creamer Media’s “Engineering News” in August 2010.

Financial Director

Debra O’Callaghan

Debra O’Callaghan was appointed Financial Director of Compressor and Engine Engineering (Pty) ltd on the 1st of September 2011. Prior to this Debra was Financial Manager at Private Label Promotion (Pty) Ltd from April 2008 to August 2011. Debra ran the Finance and Payroll Division for the PLP Group of Companies. Private Label Promotion is one of the leading South African companies within the technology, lifestyle and business systems arenas and provides solutions to Top 40 companies in South Africa.
